Disclosure & Cancellations

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

Information required by the regulations

These notes apply only to those contracts which exceed the amount set out in the 7(4) of the regulations, currently £42.
The main characteristics of the goods or services and the terms and conditions are as detailed on this website.
The name of the trader is Peter and Carol Brown, in partnership, of Acomb Grange, Grange Lane York. The telephone number is 01904 797387 and the email address is info@acombgrange.co.uk.
The fees for the services inclusive of taxes are as set out on our tariffs page.
When the prospective visitor makes any payment in relation to the booking, or receives an email from the trader confirming the booking, then a contract, if not previously created,  is created.
There are no additional delivery charges and any other costs, and any additional services will be the subject of an additional agreement.
Payment for the services will normally be electronic payment methods, but may be paid by cheque or cash.
All complaints should be directed to the trader.
The visitor’s right to cancel is as set out below; Where the right to cancel has been lost the consumer will not benefit from a right to cancel
If the consumer exercises the right to cancel after having made a request in accordance with regulation 36(1) for immediate services to be provided, the visitor is to be liable to pay the trader reasonable costs in accordance with regulation 36(4);


Rights of cancellation as referred to above.

        Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day of the receipt of confirmation of your booking by email, or the payment of your deposit, whichever is earlier.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us  of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

To give us notice you should insert your name, geographical address and, where available, your telephone number, fax number and e-mail address, and ideally use the form below.

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you.

We will make the reimbursement  without undue delay, and not later than14 days after the day we receive your notice of cancellation.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
